Update: Academic Integrity Network

26–01–2021

At the latest National Academic Integrity Network plenary meeting in December, members agreed the most recent version of a set of interim, non-statutory Academic Integrity Guidelines which aim to offer advice to higher education management and staff on ways in which academic integrity can be cultivated and embedded in institutional practices. The Network will now consult with key stakeholders on the draft guidelines before finalization and publication in the spring.

In other news, QQI in conjunction with the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency of Higher Education (QAA) and Lithuania’s Centre for Quality Assessment in Higher Education (SKVC), will contribute to a webinar hosted by ENQA on academic integrity on Thursday 18 March 2021.

The webinar, entitled Protecting and Promoting Academic Integrity: How Quality Assurance Agencies Can Take Action is intended to highlight the actions that QA agencies can usefully take to enable higher education institutions to embed a culture of academic integrity and minimise opportunities for academic misconduct.

The next Network plenary meeting will take place on Thursday 18 February.
