Five Key Areas of Action on Generative AI and Assessment

On the 20th November 2024, we held Rethinking Assessment: Five Key Areas of Action on Generative AI and Assessment, the latest in QQI's Rethinking Assessment Masterclass and Events series.

Led by Professor Danny Liu of the University of Sydney, this in-person masterclass explored five key areas of action that can help providers focus their resources when addressing challenges and opportunities of generative AI and assessment. 

Through practical examples of approaches to AI in assessment, the session included a deep dive into the roles of coherent rules, equitable access, levels of familiarity, fostering trust, and building culture in helping providers progress towards a responsible and productive engagement with generative AI.
