Report on comparison of qualifications frameworks in Ireland and Bahrain

05–01–2015

Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) has today published a report on the Comparison of the National Qualifications Framework in Bahrain and the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in Ireland.

The report is the result of collaboration between QQI and the National Authority for Qualifications and Quality Assurance of Education and Training in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The report contributes to the mutual understanding of the respective qualifications systems in general and the development of national qualifications frameworks in particular.

QQI collaborates with qualifications and quality assurance authorities in many countries to promote the understanding of and confidence in qualifications achieved in Ireland.

International collaboration contributes to enhanced transparency, mobility and quality of qualifications.

Qualifications Frameworks describe the qualifications of an education system and how they interlink.

National qualifications frameworks already exist or are in development in over 150 countries around the world where they are becoming established as policy instruments for reform of qualifications systems.
